Ten For Tuesday Episode 096

In an effort to get the podcast back on schedule I present to you this look back at rock from the late 70s to pretty much the early 80s. I considered a lot of this music to be important to me for one reason or another and now I can just say thanks for the memories.

Greg Kihn Band - The Breakup Song
Schon And Hammer - No More Lies
Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Asia - Heat Of The Moment
E.L.O. - Calling America
April Wine - I Like To Rock
Rush - Closer To The Heart
Triumph - Magic Power
John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)
Mike And The Mechanics - Silent Running

Ten For Tuesday is a podcast dedicated to playing the music I couldn't find anywhere else. The music I like varies from style to style, genre to genre and era to era. You will hear punk, ska, rock, Americana, metal, country, rockabilly and more from all over the world. It doesn't matter if it's a major label or indie as long as I like it then it gets played. The motto is Less Talk More Music which means you won't hear me waxing poetic for fifteen minutes between songs. At TFT its all about the music...and me of course.

Grand Slam Story Telling At The Ok, So Story Slam

A few weeks back I competed in the Grand Slam of the Ok, Ok Story Slam and now I have video of the event,  not that anybody has been clamoring to see it. My story is about an event that happened to me in the 1st Gulf War. It was a fun evening with a lot of great stories and I'm quite happy to have been able to be involved. Believe me, I'm just starting to realize just how many stories I have in me.

Ten For Tuesday Episode 095: Yeah It's A Week Late

Not much to say here, it's a week late and I have no good reason for it, that's just the way it is. The first three songs come from vinyl that I bought in Denver on the last road trip. I thought that the next two would go well with them. The last five are pretty much pretty new music in the ska/reggae vein that I enjoy. There you have it. Expect another episode next week so that I can get back on track. You'll have to check back to see what kind of music will be on it.

Ranking Roger - So Excited
The Members - Working Girl
Rubber Rodeo - Jolene
General Public - Rainy Days
The Specials - Why Part II (demo)
The Crombies - Mad At The World
The Debonaires - Music In My Soul
Melbourne Ska Orchestra - Get Smart
Leo And The Lineup - Life Goes On
Reggay Lords - One Day
