Family Road Trip To Memphis

This past weekend I traveled to Memphis with the family for a 1st birthday party for my wife's niece and while there I was able to get away for a little bit to Goner Records. I wish I'd had more time but at least I was able to some vinyl, a cassette and a few zines. The day we left I also went to a shop called Proud Mary and got more zines and cassettes. Somehow it makes a road trip more complete when I'm able to buy some music and zines. Life just seems better.

Doing Lines Zine

My latest zine (okay it's been at least two years since I've done one) is this mini called Doing Lines. It's ready in time for me to give it away at the Hard Copy Zine Faire at Whitty Books here in Tulsa on January 26th. Basically I tried to tell a story in as few words as possible, mainly one line. Most of these lines were taken from older things I have written that, in a word, weren't so good. However there were a line or two in each piece that I was able to pull out and include here. Now if only I can get something else ready by the 26th it'll be even better.

notmovingpictures Episode 095: The Job That Wasn't

Been meaning to upload this one for over a week and well, mt procrastinating nature has been showing itself. This episode finds your wayward son talking about losing out on a new job and a change of scenery, why I stopped writing for my zine as well as my slowly forming resurgence in that arena. Plus I talk about the zine Xerography Debt.

Opening music: Alloy - Live To See The Day
Closing music: Guided By Voices - Cretinous Number Ones
