notmovingpictures Episode 047: Racist, False News and The President Elect

Finally I decided to speak my mind on what has been going on in this country with the Presidential election and the fallout from it as well as the mindframe of the citizenry. I do like to wait for the initial uproar to die down and gather the facts before delving into any kind of subject. Believe me, this one is rough. People have lost their collective minds on both sides of the fence. Insanity rules and will likely do so for at least four years. But what do I know, right? Just my opinion.

Opening music: Alloy - Live To See The Day Closing music: Conmen - Spoon Fed Boy

Ten For Tuesday Episode 104

Continuing on from the musical direction of episode 103 comes ten more great songs from my favorite era of music to listen to, 1977-1983-ish. So much amazing music was created so be sure to check back often, more episodes to come, especially if I can get my laptop fixed and recover a ton of music. I can only hope.

The Go-Go's - Get Up And Go
Surf Punks - My Beach
X - The Have Nots
Sex Pistols - Holiday In The Sun
Elvis Costello - Radio Radio
The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go
Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime
The English Beat - Stand Down Margaret
The Police - Canary In A Coalmine
The Jam - Going Underground

Ten For Tuesday is a podcast dedicated to playing the music I couldn't find anywhere else. The music I like varies from style to style, genre to genre and era to era. You will hear punk, ska, rock, Americana, metal, country, rockabilly and more from all over the world. It doesn't matter if it's a major label or indie as long as I like it then it gets played. The motto is Less Talk More Music which means you won't hear me waxing poetic for fifteen minutes between songs. At TFT its all about the music...and me of course.

Ten For Tuesday Episode 103: Back Again

Sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them to. I had an episode almost ready and intended to upload it while I was on vacation in Peru but that didn't happen. First of all I got sick and then the wifi available to me was spotty at best. Even so I figured I'd just finish it once I returned home. That didn't happen either because shortly after coming home my laptop died and I haven't had the funds to try and get it fixed. Right now I have to beg time from my wife to use her laptop. Hopefully in the near future my situation will improve but if not, well, I'll just keep on going until it does. Income tax return days aren't too far off now are they? Enough of that, I've been a mood for music from a certain period of time, probably my favorite time of all, from around 1977 to 1982 or 1983 give or take. There was some great raw music created in that era. Sit back and enjoy because the next two episodes are almost done as well and there will be more of this to come.

Adam & The Ants - Desperate But Not Serious
Devo - Girl U Want
Blondie - Hanging On The Telephone
The English Beat - Mirror In The Bathroom
Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell
U2 - I Will Follow
The Police - So Lonely
The Cars - Let's Go
The Go-Go's - Turn To You
